When this happened, the sound of crying was heard from the tree and it could be heard around the whole masjid. When a minbar was made, the Prophet ﷺ began delivering his sermon from there. The Prophet ﷺ used to lean on it while delivering the khutbah (sermon). On this spot there once used to grow a date palm. This pillar is located behind the mihrab of the Prophet ﷺ on its right hand side and is the most blessed of the pillars for this was the Prophet’s ﷺ place of prayer. There he should keep himself busy with optional prayers and supplication.” 1. “Those pillars of the Masjid, which are of special virtue and blessed should be visited by the visitor of Madinah. If you are fortunate enough to visit the Prophet’s ﷺ masjid, try to visit these locations. Many people who visit the Prophet’s masjid are oblivious to these pillars or are unaware of the history behind them so in this article, I will illustrate the location of each pillar and tell you the story behind them which took place during the time of the Prophet ﷺ. Signs were placed to indicate the names of these pillars known as ‘Ustuwaanah’ in Arabic. Alhamdulillah, the locations of these pillars have been preserved till today. Following are the 8 sayings of the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم regarding the excellence of Masjid.There are certain pillars in the Prophet’s masjid ﷺ in Madinah which have a special significance. May Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ include us as well in these fortunate people. Likewise, Sayyiduna Ibrahim عَـلٰى نَبِـيِّـنَا وَ عَـلَيْـهِ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام constructed Masjid-ul-Haraam and our Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم constructed Masjid Nabawi.ĭear Islamic brothers! Certainly, to build a Masjid, frequenting it, and having love and affection for it is a great privilege, and only fortunate people are blessed with it. So, the great news of believing in Allah Almighty and other great news are given to this person. In this blessed Ayah, the words “یَعۡمُرُ مَسٰجِدَ اللّٰہِ” have vast meanings and the one who builds a masjid is also included in it. (Translation of Quran Kanzuleman, surah Tobah, Ayah 18) Only those maintain and frequent the Masaajid (Mosques) of Allah, who believe in Allah and the Last Day and keep Salah established and pay Zakaat and fear none except Allah, so it is near that they will be amongst the people of guidance. Reward of Building a Masjid is mentioned in the holy Quran as well as in the blessed saying of the beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِه وَسَلَّم So, the place where we perform the worship of Allah Almighty is the place where we fulfill our purpose of life. Worship of Allah Almighty is the purpose of a Muslim in this world as it is mentioned in the blessed Quran.
